You will be guided through creating and learning about the Medicine Wheel, and the foundational values in its meaning, symbolism, and healing. While the Medicine Wheel has specific cardinal directions, associated ceremonial elements, and ancestral spirits, this year we’ll be focusing on Fire and the East. Learn about the role of fire in ceremony and practice, preparing and keeping a fire during a sweat and Vision Quest, as well as the power of the East in ritual and belief. Considering that all backgrounds, religions, and spiritual beliefs are welcome at Takoja, we’ll also be looking to you to deepen the narrative and contribute your own perspectives and knowledge!
